How to Become a Member?

 

Step 1 - Download and complete the Department Application. Email a copy of the completed application to newark_fd@sbcglobal.net two weeks before the next General Business meeting to begin the background check.

Step 2 - Find the next General Business Meeting date. Meeting times are listed on the Events List page.

​

Step 3 - Attend the next General Business Meeting at the Newark Station and bring the completed and signed Department Application with you.

While you wait....

​

All applicants must complete the following online trainings before the end of their 90 day probationary period.  These trainings are not required to submit an application, however, we recommend beginning the trainings while you wait for the next General Business Meeting.
